The purpose of these fabrics are to provide shielding from radio frequency EMF. While they may not provide complete protection, then can significantly reduce them. It is always recommended to measure RF exposure before and after an installation to see if a desired level is reached. The fabrics are mostly sold by linear feet or meter. There are also a couple of pre-cut options available called “seamed panel”. There are several types available depending on the purpose, such as for clothing versus curtains.

For clothing, bedding, sleeping bags, etc.

Swiss Shield Wear. Cotton fabric. Shielding Effectiveness 99.7% @ 1 GHz. 4′-11″ wide. Sold by linear feet/meter.

Swiss Shield Max Wear. Cotton fabric. Shielding Effectiveness 99.99% @ 1 GHz. 4′-11″ wide. Sold by linear feet/meter.

For curtains, bed canopies, wall covering, etc.

Swiss Shield New Daylite. Synthetic fabric. Shielding Effectiveness 99.6% @ 1 GHz. 8′-6″ wide. Sold by linear feet/meter.

Swiss Shield Naturell. Cotton fabric. Shielding Effectiveness 99.99% @ 1 GHz. 8′-2″ wide. Sold by linear feet/meter.

Swiss Shield Naturell Ultra. Semi-transparent cotton fabric. Shielding Effectiveness 99.99% @ 1 GHz. Has silver/copper filament for shielding low frequency e-fields (if grounded). 8′-2″ wide. Sold by linear feet/meter.

Swiss Shield Ultima. Semi-transparent cotton fabric. More dense than Naturell with highest attenuation. Shielding effectiveness at 99.992% @ 1 GHz and 99.2% at 10 GHz. 8′-2″ wide. Non-conductive (i.e., no shielding against low frequency e-fields). Sold by linear feet/meter.
