“We are scientists engaged in the study of biological and health effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic fields (EMF). Based upon peer-reviewed, published research, we have serious concerns regarding the ubiquitous and increasing exposure to EMF generated by electric and wireless devices […] Numerous recent scientific publications have shown that EMF affects living organisms at levels well below most international and national guidelines. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life […] By not taking action, the WHO is failing to fulfill its role as the preeminent international public health agency.”
Radiofrequency electromagnetic fields have been classified as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B), based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer, associated with wireless phone use.
"DNA damage (e.g., strand breaks), a cause of cancer, occurs at levels of ELF and RF that are below the safety limits. Also, there is no protection against cumulative effects stimulated by different parts of the EM spectrum."
"The National Toxicology Program (NTP) concluded there is clear evidence that male rats exposed to high levels of radio frequency radiation (RFR) like that used in 2G and 3G cell phones developed cancerous heart tumors, according to final reports released today. There was also some evidence of tumors in the brain and adrenal gland of exposed male rats."
"Sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation is the emerging health problem of the 21st century. It is imperative health practitioners, governments, schools and parents learn more about it. The human health stakes are significant."

Former President, American Academy of Environmental Medicine
“Cells in the body react to EMFs as potentially harmful, just like to other environmental toxins, including heavy metals and toxic chemicals … The scientific evidence tells us that our safety standards are inadequate, and that we must protect ourselves from exposure to EMF due to power lines, cell phones and the like, or risk the known consequences.”

“Radio frequency radiation and other forms of electromagnetic pollution are harmful at orders of magnitude well below existing guidelines ... Current guidelines urgently need to be re-examined by government and reduced to reflect the state of the science. There is an emerging public health crisis at hand and time is of the essence.”

“I am here with disturbing news about our favorite gadgets: cell phones, tablets, Wi-Fi, etc. Putting it bluntly, they are damaging the living cells in our bodies and killing many of us prematurely […] We are scientists and engineers, and I am here to tell you [that] we have created something that is harming us, and it is getting out of control […] It’s particularly frightening that radiations from our telecommunications and powerline technology is damaging the DNA in our cells. It is clear to many biologists that this can account for the rising cancer rate. Future generations, our children are at risk.”

“The human body – speaking now as a biologist and as a physician – was not designed to deal with the explosion of EMF activity in the environment ... There is no question in my mind that not only are the traditional diseases increasing because of EMF as a contributory factor – I am not saying it is the only factor – but they are a contributory factor that is really, I believe, going to be seen to be really deadly.”
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez
Pre-eminent cancer researcher, physician and author
“We know that male and female infertility are increasing as is spontaneous abortion and we know that these can each be caused by microwave EMFs ... Microwave fields are genotoxic - produce widespread DNA damage in cells.”
Prof. Martin L. Paul
Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Sciences, Washington State University
“One of the most serious environmental pollutants affecting the health of human populations and resulting in chronic illness is electrosmog. A combination of low frequency electromagnetic fields, poor power quality, ground current and especially radio frequency and microwave radiation is making people sick. We have enough peer-reviewed scientific studies documenting the adverse effects, which include cancers, reproductive problems and symptoms of electrohypersensitivity, for governing bodies to promote practices, devices and legislation that reduce our exposure to these frequencies."
“Our studies show that exposure to electromagnetic fields with intensity lower than the ICNIRP exposure guidelines can produce biological effects. Thus, on a precautionary basis, before we understand the detailed mechanisms, we should adopt protective standards for the ubiquitous and increasing electromagnetic fields in occupational and public environments.”
"The harmful effects of electromagnetic fields, regardless of their frequencies, are now scientifically settled. Pregnant women (the fetus) and children and adolescents are particularly vulnerable."
“It is immoral that the regulatory standards electromagnetic fields (EMF) used in cellular communication are inadequate and pose a serious health risk. The amount of harm from radio frequency EMF exposure to the brain is inestimable. Children are at higher risk, than professional workers."
“Based upon epidemiological studies there is consistent evidence of increased risk for brain tumors (glioma and acoustic neuroma) associated with use of wireless phones. Urgent revision of current guidelines for exposure to radiofrequency emissions is needed.”

“International exposure guidelines for electromagnetic fields must be strengthened to reflect the reality of their impact on our bodies, especially on our DNA. The time to deal with the harmful biological and health effects is long overdue. We must reduce exposure by establishing more protective guidelines.”

“While human health and safety continue to be dismissed by many, growing scientific evidence is showing a dark side to cell phone, WiFi, smart meter and point-to-point technologies […] This alarm sounds a call to action acknowledging that electromagnetic radiation is indeed a problem that needs to be addressed.”

“The most consistent evidence from the case control studies of tumors finds that heavy long term cell phone use is associated with increased risk of two brain tumors: glioma, a malignant tumor in the glial cells, and acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma, a non-malignant tumor of the schwann cells on the main nerve from the ear to the brain […] In the three-fourths of 944 biological studies, wireless radiation produced significant effects, including oxidative stress and free radical generation, genetic effects, including DNA damage, and neurological disorders.”

“… it is well established that the absorption of radiofrequency radiation by the brain is greater in children than in adults. The developing brain is highly susceptible to tissue damaging agents, and the use of wireless devices is being actively marketed to children. At a minimum, regulatory agencies need to make strong recommendations for consumers to take precautionary measures and avoid close contact with their mobile phones.”
